Second Place in Convention

 

WHS Latin Club has won second place at the 2023 MassJCL convention, beaten only by Boston Latin School. We participated in many events, including certamen, olympika, chariot races, English oratory, dramatic interpretation, sight reading, and the costume contest, and took home several prizes from individual academic testing as well. MLK Day of Service

 

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Latin Club participated in WHS’s Civic Engagement Fair. We set up a table with information about our club alongside several other school organizations. The school collected and packaged items to donate to the Malden Warming Center, a local community shelter. Thank you to everyone who attended.

2022 Kickoff

 

Saturday was Winchester’s first time hosting the annual MassJCL kickoff. The event went mostly smoothly, with Latin students coming from across the state to join us. The WHS Latin Club is spearheading a service project aimed at providing a gift basket to members of the Wayside Youth & Family Support Network.
