Saturday was Winchester’s first time hosting the annual MassJCL kickoff. The event went mostly smoothly, with Latin students coming from across the state to join us. Praetoria and street certamen sessions were in the morning, and gladiator battles and the catapult contest were in the afternoon. The catapult contests ended up being split into large and small catapult categories, with Winchester taking home the prize (an oversized kazoo) for the small category.
